December Little Tots Worship Bulletins

What adults can do to help children in worship?
  • Bundle up! It's going to be cold.
  • Arrive early so that you are not rushed. Make a bathroom stop before coming.
  • Express your own enthusiasm for worshiping God.
  • Park near the front so that children can see the act of worship
  • Review what will happen in worship with children.
  • Pray together before formal worship begins.
  • Explain to children what is coming next.
  • Answer questions. Questions are a sign that children are engaging.
  • Don’t get so caught up in personal worship that you forget your children.
  • Give fidgety children choices, such as “You may hold my hand while we pray or fold your hands while we pray.”
  • Bring healthy snacks (that wont make your kids go crazy in the vehicle)
  • Need some EXTRA Encouragement? Click here.

What children can do in worship?
  • Praise God...to make Activie...sing, clap, tap or jingle a bell along with the music.
  • Pray...to make Active...hold hands or stretch them up high like antennae during prayers
  • Listen...to make Active...bring along your nativity set and let kids act out the story as they listen to it
  • Give an offering (make a plan in advance)
  • Coloring or adding stickers to a page can engage kids in the artistic expression of worship and praise to God.
  • Decorate...to make Active...during the song “Silent Night” shine a light from your vehicle. Glow sticks, battery-operated tea lights, flashlights or candle phone apps can be used to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. Anytime it is dark, remember the hope that Jesus is with you. Anytime you see darkness, remember that you are called to share Jesus’ light and let others know about this hope!
  • Help younger siblings.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me.”
Not only are we called to teach children how to worship, we are advised by Jesus to learn from children as well.
Children contribute to a worship experience through their spontaneity, receptivity, thanksgiving, simplicity, enthusiasm, hope, self-giving love, and the freedom of their physical and emotional responses. Yes, we can learn much from children.
